Creative Collaborating Component Solutions C3 Inc. also referred to as “C3”, or “C3 Solutions” is a Canadian corporation who offers various supply chain management SaaS products. C3 offers the C3 Hub which includes either of or both the C3 Yard (yard management and dock execution) and the C3 Reservations (appointment and dock scheduling) as well as the C3 Hive (Transportation Management). Our customer and users can access them via their accounts from anywhere in the world. Collectively our products make up the C3 Advanced Visibility Solution.

The purpose of this Privacy Notice is to satisfy the regulatory notification requirements as well as to demonstrate, together with C3 Solutions General Privacy and Data Protection Policy, C3 Solutions’s (“we,” “our,” or “us”) commitment to safeguarding and appropriately handling personal information as related to:

  • the use of www.c3solutions.com  (“website”)
  • social media messages and marketing campaigns

Note that the C3 Hub Privacy Notice and the C3 Hive Privacy Notice specifically detail our handling of personal information in relation to the use of the C3 Hub and the C3 Hive.

This Privacy Notice sets out the essential details relating to your personal data relationships with C3 Solutions as:

  • A website visitor
  • A prospective customer
  • A job applicant

WHEN

c3solutions.com only collects Personal Information that you choose to provide voluntarily when requesting more information on our company and products.

We may ask you to provide personal information when:

  • You use the website to download articles, data sheets or eBooks.
  • You request a free trial or demo.
  • You refer a friend to us.
  • You connect with us directly via phone calls or video conferencing platforms.
  • You participate in a marketing/sales promotion.
  • You attend trade events and other industry networking events.
  • You register or attend a webinar or other event.
  • You participate in programs we may offer from time to time.
  • You participate in chats.

If you choose to provide us with a third party’s personal information (the person’s name, email and company) when taking part in our referral program, you represent that you have the third-party’s permission to do so. 

While you can browse our site without providing Personal Information, you will need to include your name, email address and company name with your request for information to have access to more detailed information.

We do not use your Personal Information for any other purpose. We never sell it to any third party. We never share it with any third party. 

WHAT

We collect personal information that may include first and last name, business email address, phone number and/or company name. 

In addition, we may collect data uploaded by you. The data uploaded may include personal information like names and email addresses used to provide services within C3 Solutions’ website, and, as a job applicant, things like your resume and cover letter.

WHEN

We collect information about your visits to the website and the application when you land on any of our web pages through cookies and similar tracking technology. 

This information is used to enhance your use of this website by making your experience as interesting and useful as possible.

c3solutions.com uses cookie technology as part of its website’s statistical reporting. A cookie is a small piece of information sent by a website that is saved on your hard disk by your computer’s browser. It holds information to gather website statistical data, such as which pages are visited, what is downloaded, the internet provider’s domain name and the country that our visitors come from. However, none of this is associated with you as an individual. It is measured only in aggregate. The information in the cookies lets us trace your “click stream” activity (i.e., the paths taken by visitors to our site as they move from page to page.) Cookies do not capture your individual email address or any private information about you.

We also use standard web server log files to help us count visitors and evaluate our site’s technical capacity. We record information on site traffic but not information on individual visitors to our site, so no information about you in particular will be kept or used.

We may also collect information when you open email messages from us or click on links within those email messages.

WHEN

We may combine the information we collect from your direct interactions with us with information obtained through other third-party sources, such as ZoomInfo Technologies LLC. We also obtain and/or purchase lists from third parties about individuals and companies interested in our products. 

WHAT

The Personal Information collected includes your name, email address, business address, job title, company name, and telephone number.

We use your personal information to:

  • Provide general help and support.
  • To communicate with you directly through emails, calls, chats, and video conferencing. 
  • Send communications to you about:
    • New application features and upgrades.
    • Our services and offerings. 
    • Event announcements. 
    • Particular programs in which you have chosen to participate. 
    • Promotional offers and surveys.
    • Scheduling demos and managing free trials.
  • Advertise and market our products and services, including delivering interest-based advertisements on this website and other sites or content syndication platforms and websites.
  • Carry out market research to understand how to improve our services and their delivery.
  • Create and manage marketing campaigns.
  • Generate sales leads and increase our market share.
  • Analyze user clicks and usage of the application and website to improve user experience and maximize usage of our services.
  • Manage our website to maintain and deliver the contracted functionality and services.
  • Prevent fraud and other prohibited or illegal activities.
  • Protect the security or integrity of the website, application, our business or services.
  • Or otherwise, as disclosed to you at the point of collection or as required or permitted by law.

Please note that sometimes we may record the video conferencing call in which you participate to analyze and improve our staff’s communication skills. If we do so, we will be announcing it at the beginning of the conference call and in the meeting invite.

We do not sell your information to any third party. 

Service Providers

We may use third parties to help us provide our services. They will have access to your information as collected by the website. Before providing any such access, C3 will assess the service provider to ensure that they provide an adequate level of data protection of your Personal Information and only use it to deliver the contracted services to us.

Legal Disclosures

We may need to disclose personal information when required by law, subpoena or other legal processes as identified in the applicable legislation. 

We attempt to notify our customers about legal demands for their Personal Information when appropriate in our judgment unless prohibited by law or court order or when the request is an emergency.

Change in Control

We can also share your Personal Information as part of a sale, merger, change in control or in preparation for any of these events. 

Any other entity which buys us or part of our business will have the right to continue to use your data, but only in the manner set out in this Privacy Policy unless you agree otherwise.

We are committed to protecting the security of all the Personal Information we collect and use. 

We use a variety of physical, administrative, and technical safeguards designed to help protect it from unauthorized access, use and disclosure. The applied safeguards may vary depending on the nature and sensitivity of the information to protect but are, at the least, what is required by applicable laws. C3 Solutions’ safeguards cover a wide range of activities, including but not limited to taking reasonable steps to ensure the discretion and reliability of C3 Solutions representatives having access to Personal Information. They refer to C3 Solutions policies as well as strict internal practices and procedures namely related to access control, application security, asset management, hardening protection, monitoring and responsiveness, business continuity plan and compliance. C3 Solutions’ safeguards may take the simple form of physical access restriction tools such as locked doors, alarm systems, and locked filing cabinets, or the more complex form of organizational and technological tools such as IT authentication, access controls, firewalls, encryption, data segregation, electronic audit trails, up to date anti-virus/malware software, vendor security patch management, etc.

Individuals have various privacy rights such as the right to be informed and access their Personal Information, to rectify or erase it, to transfer it, to restrict its processing, to withdraw consent, etc. Upon request, C3 will promptly investigate the matter, act and take appropriate measures when needed (i.e. provide an individual with access to its own Personal Information held by C3 for its own purpose, rectify any inaccuracy, etc.). C3 will address the matter within a reasonable time of request (usually within a month), but only after due verification of identity. Nevertheless, C3 may refuse access requests for a number of legitimate reasons. If access is refused, C3 will provide in writing the reasons for refusal and the details on complaint procedures.


However, if C3 is only processing the related Personal Information on behalf of one of its Customers, C3 will assist such Customer and facilitate the individual’s exercise of its privacy rights by promptly forwarding any such request to the Customer’s Data Protection Officer, if any, or appropriate representative.


In the limited circumstances where individuals have provided consent to the collection, use and transfer of personal information for a specific purpose, individuals have the right to withdraw consent at any time. Once C3 Solutions has received notification of consent withdrawn, C3 Solutions will no longer process information for the purpose or purposes the individual originally agreed to.

We process data in locations in Canada and rely on legally provided mechanisms to lawfully transfer data across borders, such as contracts incorporating data protection and sharing obligations. 

We will only collect and process your Personal Information where we have a lawful reason for its collection.
